Lynn Bozentka was a member of the Great Lakes I team and went to the National Field Hockey Tournament as a freshman in 1975. She was MVP offensively for her team in 1978. Her 21 goals in 1978-1979 were an Ohio University single-season record. Her 48 career goals were a first for the time. She was nominated by her team for the Outstanding Senior Athlete Award in 1979. She earned 8 letters, four for field hockey and four for tennis. She played number one singles and number two singles two years each. As a senior, Bozentka was 16-5 at number two singles. She was also nominated for Outstanding Senior in 1979, voted by the tennis team. She wrote for the Ohio University Post, student newspaper, and in the University’s Sports Information Office.
