Anita Corl Miller lettered four years in both field hockey and lacrosse. She made the U.S. Field Hockey Team in 1972 and was a member of the U.S. Olympic Team in 1980. She was a left halfback in field hockey and was All-League four years and All-Conference three years. She graduated cum laude and was secretary of the Major-Minor Physical Education. Following graduation, she took over the field hockey program at California State University at Long Beach, and in three years’ time, she won the Division One National Collegiate Championship in 1979. She has toured Europe twice and South America and has played in the World Championship in Vancouver, Canada, helping the U.S improve its last finish from 11th to 3rd place.
