Andy Daniels was Ohio University’s seventh National Champion when in his senior year he won the NCAA 118-pound Wrestling Championship. He was a three-time MAC 118-pound Champion in 1976, 1977, and 1978. He only had 2 dual meet losses in four years and finished with a 98-12 record. He was named the Outstanding Wrestler in The MAC twice. He won the Wilkes Open Championship twice, the East Stroudsburg title, and the All-Ohio Championships. He captained the team in 1977 and 1978. He was voted Outstanding Athlete at Ohio University his senior year. In 1978 he and his team finished 13th in the nation.
