Don Peden was one of the greatest all-time football and baseball coaches and athletic directors in Ohio University’s long history. His football coaching mark from 1926-1946 was 123 wins, 44 losses and 11 times and, at the time of induction, had never been equaled here. Peden was one of the founders of the Mid-American Conference. He is also a distinguished member of the Helms Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame, inducted in 1962. The Bobcat’s football stadium is now named Peden Stadium, in Peden’s honor since 1930. He was also one of the founders of the Mid-American Conference.
