Jack Leveck played for the Ohio football team from 1968-71. The 1968 Freshman Team co-captain earned several conference and national honors during his time with the Bobcats. Â
Leveck was named to the 1970 All-MAC Second Team, 1971 All-MAC First Team and was selected as an Honorable Mention All-American in 1971. Leveck also received the Most Valuable Player Green and White Club Award in 1971. Â
He finished his career at Ohio ranking third in program history for single-season total tackles (169, 1971). Averaging 18.8 tackles per game, Leveck was on track to take first in this category but a canceled game against Marshall lead to a nine-game 1971 season. Â
Leveck started his NFL career as an undrafted free agent, making the cut in front of two drafted linebackers with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played with the Cardinals from 1973-74 and the Cleveland Browns for the 1975 season. Â
