Darla Dutro was a four-year letter winner on the women’s basketball team (1979-82) and a two-time letter winner on the lacrosse team (1979-80). During her freshman year (1878-79) she set a school single season scoring record with 206, averaging 12.6 points per game. She received the George M. and Ruth L. Brown Scholarship in 1981, making her 1 of 39 Ohio student athletes to receive scholarships through the Providing Athleties Scholarships (PAWS) program. She stands in the Ohio record book today for career steals (149) and single season assists (141). In 1982, the United States Women’s Lacrosse Association (USWLA) named Dutro to the regional team.
