Dan Donofrio was an All-Ohio and All-Buckeye football guard in 1936 and 1937. He led the balloting and was named honorary captain of the 1936 United Press All-Buckeye team. He captained the 1937 Ohio football team. He made the Football Annual Magazine's All-America checklist of 1937. He was vice president of the Men's Union and Treasurer of the Interfraternity Council and President of Alpha Phi Delta fraternity. In 1943 he was President of the Adult Education Association of the State of Connecticut. He retired in 1980 after 38 years in education, coaching and teaching, guidance counselor, principal and director.
