Anthony Gressick is one of the most versatile players in Ohio's baseball history, excelling both on the mound and in the batter's box. Gressick was named to the Mid-American All-Tournament Team as a freshman and earned ABCA All-America honors and First-Team All-MAC honors as a designated hitter his sophomore year. As a junior, he posted a 3-3 record on the mound, led the MAC with a 2.67 ERA, tied for the team lead in RBI, and earned ABCA All-Region and First-Team All-MAC honors. Gressick concluded his collegiate career in 2006, leading the team in runs scored (45), hits (73), doubles (16), home runs (8), RBI (43), walks (25), slugging (.587), and on-base percentage (.449) to earn his second All-America honor and third All-MAC First-Team honor. Following his memorable four-year career, Gressick was selected as a pitcher in the 26th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Cincinnati Reds.
