Steve Rudo had a dual-match record in wrestling of 24 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie for a .923 winning percentage, ranking seventh in school history. He was a three-time Mid-American Conference champion, winning in 1954 at 145 pounds, in 1955 at 147 pounds, and then in 1956 at 157 pounds. He contributed on two MAC championship teams in 1955 and 1956. He earned All-American honors. Rudo became wrestling coach at Parma High School and coached Harry Houska, steering Houska to Ohio University where he became a national champion and later coach.
