Joseph Dean was an outstanding linebacker and offensive guard on Ohio’s great undefeated 1960 National College Championship team. In 1960, Dean won MVP in the bowl game. Dean also played in the 1960 All-American Bowl. Dean won the first team All-MAC honors in 1959. He co-captained the team in 1960. He won three varsity letters in football. Dean eventually went on and signed with the Ottawa Rough Riders.
