Paul Baron was a four-year letter winner and two-time captain on the men’s basketball team from 1982-1986. During this four year stretch, he was a part of the team that had four straight 20-win seasons. During that time, the Bobcats advanced to two NCAA tournaments and hosted an NIT game. Baron finished his career as a Bobcat as Ohio’s all-time assist leader (579) and still stands third. He was tied for seventh with 141 career steals when he graduated. During his senior campaign, he earned All-MAC Honorable Mention and the team’s Most Improved Player and Most Valuable Player (1985-86). Baron graduated from Ohio University in 1986 with a BS in Marketing.
