David Wagner was a member of the Ohio football squad from 1958-60 where he was a letter winner all three years. In 1958 he volunteered his services for the team and worked his way into the starting quarterback position. He was named All-MAC First Team Quarterback in 1960. In 1960, he led Ohio to the College Divisional National championship with a 10-0 record. He threw for 554 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 183. Wagner graduated from Ohio in 1961 with a BS in Education and he later served on the Bobcat coaching staff.
