Frances Daniel (Calcutt) was a two-time track All-America, finishing fifth in the nation in the high jump in 1982 at six feet, one quarter inch, and sixth in 1983 at five-feet, 11 and one-quarter inches. She also ran the 100 meter hurdles in 14:14 in 1982, a school record. She won the MAC high jump championships in 1982 and 1983. She was voted Green and White Club “Female Athlete of the Year” in 1983. She was chosen “Outstanding Track Athlete” by her teammates in 1982. She held three track records, two in the high jump, as noted, and another in the 60 meter hurdles in 9:07 in 1982. She lettered four years.
