Rhonda Rawlins earned four letters in field hockey from 1978 to 1981 and two lacrosse letters in 1980 and 1981. Her 22 career field hockey goals ranked third in scoring at the time of induction. She was captain and Most Valuable Player twice in 1980 and 1981. She was nominated by opposing coaches for All-American honors. The 1979 team scored a record 65 goals. In lacrosse, which she did not take up until her junior year, she scored 23 goals in her best season and made the Midwest II team twice. She scored 9 goals and was top scorer on one of those Midwest teams. She co-captained both Ohio teams and was one of the top scorers on OU’s 13-0 team in 1981. She served as a resident assistant in OU’s dormitory system. She remained on in 1982 as an assistant field hockey and lacrosse coach while she earned a Master's Degree in the “Master Teacher Program.” She worked with Special Olympics in Bermuda where she traveled to the 1987 International Games in South Bend, Indiana.
