Dave Jamerson is the all-time leading scorer in Ohio men’s basketball history, holding the spot with 2,336 career points. Jamerson was the 1990 Mid-American Conference player of the Year, where he also earned a sport on the All-MAC First Team. He was also named Second Team All-MAC (1989) and All-MAC Honorable Mention (1988).

 In 1990, Jamerson led the MAC in points per game (31.2) and three-point field goals per game (4.7). He also finished third in the NCAA in scoring and first in three-point attempts per game in that same season. 

At one point, Jamerson held a total of 14 MAC and Ohio. Jamerson is still the Ohio all-time leader in points (2,336), field goals made (864) and field goal attempts (1,770), second all-time in in three-point field goal percentage (.419), fifth in three-point field goals made (239) and eighth in three-point field goal attempts (570) and free throws made (369). 

Jamerson also holds the Ohio single-season record in points (874), scoring average (31.2), field goal attempts (628), three-point field goals made (131) and three-point field goal attempts (303). He also holds the second-highest number of field goals made in a single season with 297. 

Jamerson also hold the top two spots in most points scored in a single game, with 60 on Dec. 21, 1989, against the University of Charleston and 52 on Feb. 24, 1989. He also has the Bobcats’ single-game record with 21 field goals made and 14 three-pointers made, both of those hit on Dec. 21, 1989. 

He captained the team in 1989 and 1990. He was also in the MVP Volunteer Classic and on the 1990 MAC All-Tournament team. 

Jamerson was drafted the first round of the 1990 NBA First Year Player Draft by the Miami Heat in the 15th round before being traded to Houston. Jamerson played in the NBA and the CBA until 1995.  

Jamerson was inducted into the Kermit Blosser Ohio Athletics Hall of Fame in 1995 and had his #33 retired in 1995, where he is currently one of four Ohio Men’s Basketball Players to have their jerseys in the rafters of the Convocation Center. 

Jamerson is also a two-Time Academic All-MAC (1989 and 1990) and a 1990 First Team Academic All-American.
