John Fekete was Honorable Mention Little All-American in 1942 and was All-Ohio in both 1941 and 1942. He was All-Buckeye Athletic Association in both his junior and senior years and was voted “Outstand Back” by league coaches and media in 1942. During his best year, Fekete rushed for 922 yards in 155 attempts, for an average of 5.9 yards per try. He scored 11 touchdowns. He passed 31 times, completing 18 for another 207 yards to give him a pass completion average of 11.5 yards per completion. He also lettered three years in track. He signed with the Cleveland Browns following military service in World War II.
