In 1968, his senior year, Ihor Miskewycz became only the second player in Ohio University soccer history to be awarded All-American honors. He was selected by the National Collegiate Athletic Association Coaches Association. He made All-Midwest and All-Ohio each twice and was the only unanimous selection for the All-Midwest in 1967 and 1968. He tied for the high vote getter among defensive candidates. He was captain of the 1968 team and was MVP on defense for Ohio that year. The 1968 team had a 7-3-1 record, equaling the school record at that time. At left fullback, he was named the best defensive player in the Ohio Intercollegiate Soccer Association. He was a member of Varsity O, Ohio’s letterman organization, and officiated intramural soccer matches.
