Paul Storey was an All-MAC basketball center and MVP on the 1964 MAC championship team. That team had the best record (21-6) in school history at the time and advanced further in post-season NCAA play than any team in MAC history, reaching the final eight. En route to that milestone, Ohio defeated Louisville, beat Kentucky by 16 points (85-69), and lost by 12 points to the Michigan team that went to the finals to finish runner-up in the nation to UCLA. Storey captained the 1964 team, averaging a high of 14.1 ppg that year and 12.5 per game for his career.
