Dick England was a two-time All-Mid-American Conference outfielder and third baseman who played on two MAC championship baseball teams and competed in three NCAA tournaments. He was an All-District Four selection at third base in 1954. England's career batting average was .349 and as leadoff hitter, he had 63 RBIs in his career. He returned to Ohio University in 1970 and helped coach the 33-6 Bobcats to a fourth-place finish in the College World Series. He was elected to the Ohio High School Coaches Hall of Fame in 1989.
