Hall of Fame
Scott Hammond was the head coach of Swimming and Diving from 1986-1995. Hammond won 185 dual meets and had a 70.9% winning percentage. He saw his women’s team win 7 straight Mid-American Conference championships within his time of being a coach at Ohio University. Hammond then left to become the Head coach at North Carolina State from 1995-2000. He was named MAC Coach of the Year three times and saw his athletes be honored by College Swimming Coaches Association for academic performance seven times.
