Bart Leahy was a member of the Ohio baseball team from 1995-1998. In 1997, he led the Bobcats to the 1997 Mid-American Conference Championship, earning MAC Tournament MVP honors. In his senior season, he broke the career home run record and earned First-Team All-Mid East Region and First-Team Academic All-MAC honors. He hit the first ever homerun at Bob Wren Stadium. He was drafted in the 13th round of the MLB Draft in 1997 to the Houston Astros but opted to stay for his senior season. After graduation, he was an undrafted free agent and played professional baseball for the Florida Marlins for three years.
