Catherine Brown coached at Ohio from 1965 to 1979, pioneering the women's lacrosse and track teams and serving as Women's Coordinator of Athletics from 1970-1974. In field hockey, her teams were 49-7-7 (.777) and in lacrosse, 31-9-6 (.673). Brown has served as vice president of the United States Field Hockey Association and served on the Umpiring Committee (National) in both field hockey and lacrosse. She is a former member of the Irish National Team that participated in the World Championships in 1963 in Maryland. She is the Coordinator of the School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and an assistant professor at Ohio University.
