David Rambo was a medalist at the 1951 Mid-American Conference Championship where he led his team to the title with rounds of 68-74. He became Ohio University’s first MAC medalist. He went on to record a career average of 75.3 as he helped the school win three consecutive MAC Golf Championships. He finished second in the Ohio Intercollegiate Championship in 1951. He passed up a potential professional golf career to become a dentist. He graduated with a BS in 1953.
