Melissa Griffin played volleyball at Ohio from 2004-07 and is one of the most decorated players in program history. Griffin was an All-American Honorable Mention in 2007 and was AVCA All-Mideast Region selection in 2007 and 2006 while also earning ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV honors in 2007. She was the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in 2007 and was a four-time All-MAC selection. Griffin was also named to the MAC All-Tournament Team twice, while earning MAC Tournament MVP honors in 2006. Griffin ranks in the top-10 in a number of categories in the Ohio record book, including holding the program record with a career .349 hitting percentage. She ranks second in career kills (1,678), second in career points (1,977.5) and third in matches played (133). Her .349 hitting percentage also ranked fourth all-time in the MAC at the time of her induction.
