Donald W. Fish won All-American honors in 1969 when he finished fourth in the javelin at the NCAA track and field championships with a throw of 248’3”. His best collegiate throw was 256’1”, which was second in the nation at the time. He won three Mid-American Conference javelin championships during his college career. He won the Drake Relays twice in 1968 and 1969. He was co-captain of the team.
