
Ohio Softball Announces 2025 Schedule

ATHENS, Ohio — The Ohio softball team released its 2025 schedule, as announced by head coach Jenna Hall on Thursday (Jan. 2). The Bobcats will face off with four teams that competed the 2024 postseason, while hosting Big Ten opponent Ohio State in Athens.
Ohio opens the 2025 season Feb. 6-8 when they head to Elon, N.C. for the Elon Softball Classic where the Bobcats will face off with NC Central, Elon, UConn and UNC Greensboro.
The Bobcats then head to Tucson, Ariz. for the Bear Down Fiesta Feb. 14-16. The event hosted by Arizona will see the Bobcats face off with Arizona, Cal State Fullerton and South Alabama. All three Ohio opponents earned a spot in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, with South Alabama and Cal State Fullerton advancing to their Regional Final and Arizona advancing to Super Regionals.
Ohio then heads to Mount Pleasant, S.C. Feb. 21-23 for the 2025 Lowcountry Classic hosted by College of Charleston. While there, the Bobcats will face off with Dartmouth, Rhode Island and College of Charleston. The Bobcats continue their trip down south for the 2025 Purple/Gold Challenge hosted by Lipscomb in Nashville, Tenn. Feb. 28-March 2. Ohio twill face off with Northern Iowa, Lipscomb and Illinois State.
Ohio wraps up their preseason road trips March 8-9 when the head to Fairfax, Va. for a tournament at George Mason. While there, Ohio will face off with host George Mason and Longwood.
Ohio finally begins the home portion of their schedule on March 13 with a doubleheader against Stonehill College. Later that week, Ohio will take on Detroit Mercy in another doubleheader. Both of those are set for 1 p.m.
Ohio is back on the road on March 19 at Marshall.
Ohio then kicks off Mid-American Conference play March 21-22 when the Bobcats host Buffalo for a three-game series at the Ohio Softball Field.
The conference schedule continues March 28-29 with a three-game series against Northern Illinois in DeKalb, Illinois. On April 1, Ohio returns home for a doubleheader against Kent State at 1 p.m. Ohio will hit the road again for a three-game series against Akron on April 5-6.
Ohio will take on Toledo in a three-game set on April 11-12 at the OSF before traveling to Bowling Green, Ohio, for a doubleheader against Bowling Green on April 15.
The 'Battle of the Bricks' will take place in Athens on April 18-19, when Miami comes to town. Ohio will stay home to face Big Ten opponent Ohio State in its final nonconference game of the season on April 22 at the Ohio softball Field.
The regular season wraps up with two trips to Michigan and a double header at home. Ohio will travel to Mount Pleasant, Mich., for three games on April 25-26, and Kalamazoo for three against Western Michigan on May 3-4.
Ohio's concludes the 2025 regular season on April 29, when Ohio faces Ball State in a doubleheader at the OSF.
The 2025 MAC Tournament is back in Akron, Ohio May 7-10 at Firestone Stadium.
Ohio is coming off a 31-24 2024 season and an 18-8 conference mark that saw the Bobcats finish second in the MAC standings. Ohio returns All-MAC performers, Skipp Miller, Mikie Lieving and Izzie Wilson, while welcoming nine new faces to the roster.
