2022: Saw action in 36 games, making 26 starts…Hit .219 with 16 hits, two doubles, two homeruns and 13 RBI…Scored 11 runs and drew 12 walks…Was 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts…Hit her first homerun of the season on March 16 in a comeback victory against Marshall in the Bobcats home opener…Registered three RBI again Miami on April 3…Hit a homerun and had three RBI against Ball State on April 10…Named Academic All-MAC.
PRIOR TO OHIO: started in every game that she played for the Winthrop Eagles, making 113 total appearances in three seasons. Walker hit .249 for the Eagles, including a career high .288 batting average in 2020, and recorded an OPS of .757 while only striking out 37 total times in 293 at-bats. In the outfield, Walker only committed four errors, good for a .979 fielding percentage. Prior to her time at Winthrop, Walker played at Wright State for one season, starting one game and playing in 27 games total. Walker averaged .333 from the dish and scored seven runs, while stealing two bases. Prior to her college debut, Walker played varsity softball for four years in high school, and was selected to the First-Team All-State team after her junior season. Walker holds her high school record for batting average in a single-season at .511, and was named Defensive Player of the Year twice. She joins her younger sister, Emily, on the softball team.
