Ohio Softball Adds Pitcher Maggie Grant to Roster

ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio softball has added transfer pitcher Maggie Grant to the roster, head coach Paige McMenemy announced today (Aug. 14).Â
Grant spent last season at Indian Hills Community College where she appeared in 29 games, while making 20 starts. She recorded a 5.01 ERA, with seven complete games and 78 strikeouts in 130.0 innings in the circle.Â
Prior to her time at Indian Hill, Grant spent one season at Butler Community College where she made nine appearances in the circle for the Grizzlies, posting a 2-0 record in 21.0 innings of work, while striking out 13. Grant also competed in the NJCAA DI Softball World Series.Â
Grant attended Inland Lakes High School in Indian River, Michigan where she was a member of the softball, volleyball, and basketball programs. She competed on the softball team under head coaches Nate Thompson, Krissi Thompson, and Dennis Renaud and was a two-time conference Pitcher of the Year. Grant was also named All-Conference, All-District, All-Region, All-Area Dream Team selections and helped lead team to three District championships.
Grant is the daughter of Nancy and Mark Grant and has one sibling. Matthew who wrestlers at the RIT.
