
Kitrell Concludes Storied Ohio Track and Field Career at NCAA East Regionals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ohio senior Ashleigh Kitrell (Oakland, Neb.) concluded her storied Ohio track and field career Saturday night (May 29) in the women's 400-meter hurdles at the 2020-21 NCAA East Region Preliminary rounds at Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.
Kitrell, running in heat one, finished her heat in sixth place with a time of 58.73, placing her 19th overall.
Kitrell finished her career at Ohio as one of the best hurdlers in Ohio history. Earlier this season, Kitrell broke the school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.13. Then in May, Kitrell became Ohio's third MAC outdoor 400-meter hurdles champion in program history and the first since 1993 with a time of 58.63.
