2022: Played in 32 games, while making 26 starts for the Bobcats…Hit .207 with 18 hits, five doubles and four homeruns…scored nine runs and had 10 RBI with a .402 slugging percentage…drew seven walks and was hit by a pitch five times…Went 2-for-3 against Indiana on March 11…Hit a two-run homerun against Buffalo on March 19 with two RBI… Went 2-for-3 with a homerun and RBI against Central Michigan on April 15…Named Academic All-MAC… Named to the 2022 Academic All-District® Softball Team.
2021: Played in 28 games with 18 starts for the Bobcats… Batted .242 with 16 hits and 13 RBI to go with one home run… Brought in three runs one a home run against Buffalo (May 7)… Academic All-MAC.
*2020 – Played in 21 games for Ohio, starting 12 of them…Hit .229 with eight hits, two runs scored, one double, one homerun and six RBI…Recorded a .343 slugging percentage while drawing three walks and a .275 on base percentage…In the outfield, recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage and had two putouts…. Recorded her first career hit on Feb. 7 against UAB…Hit her first career homerun on Feb. 8 against Furman…. Went 2-for-3 with an RBI on Feb. 9 against Georgia Tech… Recorded a double against Merrimack on March 8.
Prior to Ohio: Played softball for Ohio Outlaws and has earned four varsity letters at Jackson High School. Last season, Bernard recorded a .475 batting average and a .80 at-bat. She registered 38 hits, 31 RBI, while scoring 10 runs and recording a .937 SLG. Early on in her career, Bernard was named Honorable Mention All-Stark County. Bernard also was named Honorable Mention All-Northeast Ohio the past two season and was named First Team All-Federal League her senior year. In addition, Bernard was equally as talented in the classroom as she was on the field. Graduating with honors, she was recognized as a National Merit Scholar her senior year and was awarded Scholar Athlete her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year.
Personal: Bernard is the daughter of Vince and Lesley Bernard and has one sister, Isabella. She is planning to major in Biology in hopes of one day becoming a pediatrician.
