Ohio Softball Releases 2026 Schedule

ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio softball team has released its 2026 Schedule, head coach Jenn Hall announced today (Dec. 12). The 55 games schedule includes 27 Mid-American Conference game, home games against Pitt and Marshall and 11 games against teams that reached NCAA Regionals last season.
The Bobcats open the 2026 season Feb. 6-8 in Spartanburg, S.C. when they take part in a tournament at USC Upstate. The Bobcats open the season on Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. when they take on St. Francis. The Bobcats will also faceoff with Towson and host USC Upstate. St. Francis and USC Upstate both won their respective conferences last year, advancing the NCAA Regionals.
Feb. 13-15 Ohio heads to Chattanooga, Tenn. for the 2026 Frost Classic where Ohio will take on Canisius, UT Chattanooga and Bellarmine. The following week, Feb. 19-21, the Bobcats head to Orlando, Fla. for the UCF Space U Classic where the Bobcats will take on UCF, Penn State, Notre Dame and Charleston Southern. Last season, UCF earned an at-large bid to Regionals.
Feb. 27-March 1, the Bobcats head to the Austin Peay/Belmont Tournament that will take place on both their campuses in Nashville and Cookville, Tenn. While there, the Bobcats will face off with Stonehill, Austin Peay, Southern Indiana and Belmont. Belmont is coming off its first ever NCAA Tournament appearance last season.
In a final road trip before the start of MAC play, the Bobcats head to Cullowhee, N.C. to take part in a tournament at Western Carolina March 6-8. While there, Ohio will take on Penn, Robert Morris and Western Carolina. Robert Morris also made a trip to NCAA Regionals last year, after earning the automatic bid after winning the NEC Championship.
The Bobcats open Mid-American Conference play March 13-14 with a three-game series at Toledo. The series begins on March 13 with a single game and a double header on March 14.
The Bobcats finally return to Athens on March 18 when they host Dayton for a single game at the Ohio Softball Field. The Bobcats are back at the OSF March 20-21 for a three-game series with Northern Illinois. The series begins with one game on March 20, before a doubleheader scheduled on March 21.
The Bobcats are back in action March 24 when Ohio hosts ACC opponent Pitt at the Ohio Softball Field. The Bobcats close out their two-week homestand March 27-28 with Ohio hosts Central Michigan for a three-game series starting with one game on the 27 and a doubleheader on the 28.
Ohio is back on the road April 3-4 for a three-game series against Ball State in Muncie, Ind., before heading to Oxford, Ohio April 7-8 for a three-game series against Miami.
Ohio returns to Athens April 11-12 for a three-game series with Bowling Green beginning on April 11 with a doubleheader and concluding on April 12 with a single game at the OSF.
The Bobcats then take on their final nonconference opponent of the season on April 15 when Ohio hosts Marshall at the Ohio Softball Field.
After a three-game series against Kent State in Kent, Ohio April 17-18, Ohio concludes their home schedule April 24-25 against Akron. The Bobcats and Zips will plat one game on April 24, before closing out the series with a doubleheader on April 25.
Ohio concludes the regular season May 1-2 when they head to Amherst, Mass. To take on new MAC opponent UMass. The Bobcats will play one game on May 1 and close out the regular season on May second with a doubleheader.
The 2026 MAC Tournament will take place May 6-9 at Firestone Stadium in Akron, Ohio.
The Bobcats are coming off a 37-19 season with an 18-8 mark in MAC play and finished the regular season second in the conference. The Bobcats return reigning MAC Pitcher of the Year Skipp Miller and All-MAC Selections Brenna Farmer and Abby Kennelly, as well as Hall returning as the reigning MAC Coach of the Year. Ohio also welcome three transfers and six freshmen to the roster for this upcoming season.
