MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ohio women's basketball team (10-6, 8-5 MAC) will continue Mid-American Conference play on Wednesday against Ball State (9-7, 7-5 MAC). Tip-off at Worthen Arena is set for 7 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
Ohio is 37-28 against Ball State all-time. The Bobcats lost their last outing against the Cardinals, in overtime, earlier this season at home.
FOURTH-HIGHEST SINGLE GAME SCORER EVER
In Ohio's comeback win over WMU, Cece Hooks tied the fourth-highest scoring output in program history with 38 points on 14-of-23 shooting. Hooks tied Kiyanna Black. Hooks is also tied with Marlene Stollings for highest scoring output ever at 41, which she set last season at Akron.
SIXTH IN THE NATION
Cece Hooks is sixth in the nation and first in the MAC in points per game at 25.7 this season. Anastasia Hayes from Middle Tennessee State leads the nation at 28.6 points per game.
SECOND-BEST SCORER EVER AND 20 FROM 2,000
In Ohio's win over Buffalo, Hooks became the second-highest scorer in program history. Hooks has 1,980 points in her career. Caroline Mast is the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,449 points scored in her career.
TWO PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARDS, AVERAGING 30
Hooks averaged 30+ for the second-straight week and was named player of the week for the second-straight week. Against Akron, Hooks had 31 points in just three quarters on the floor while knocking down her first four three-pointers. Against EMU, Hooks pulled in a season-high 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season after adding 29 points. Hooks averaged 30 points, eight rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game against Akron and EMU.
DOWN 11 AND WON
Ohio was down 11 with less than three minutes and stormed back to beat Buffalo, 84-81. ESPN's win probability had Ohio with a 0.02 % chance to win the game. Kaylee Bambule hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 12 seconds left to put Ohio up 82-81. Cece Hooks made a layup with two seconds left to seal the three-point victory for the Bobcats.
NINE-STRAIGHT FREE THROWS TO WIN
In Ohio's 85-70 win over Kent State, Gabby Burris posted a season-high 22 points and five rebounds. Burris was 6-of-12 from the field and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. Burris made nine-straight free-throws down the stretch to seal the game for the Bobcats.
GETTING TO THE LINE
Cece Hooks is fourth in the nation in free-throws attempted and 13 in the nation in made free-throws. Hooks is 87-of-140 from the charity stripe this season.
RANKED WIN
Against Notre Dame, Ohio grabbed its second-ranked win in program history and first in the Boldon era when OU took down No. 22 Notre Dame, 86-85. The win was Ohio's first win over Notre Dame.
BACK-TO-BACK OHIO HIGHS FOR KROLL
In back-to-back games, Caitlyn Kroll has posted her scoring high. In Ohio's win over Toledo, Kroll knocked down four threes and had 14 points, her largest scoring output since transferring to Ohio. Against Ball State on Jan. 13, Kroll answered with 20 points and an Ohio-high six threes made.
90+ FOR FIRST TIME THIS SEASON
Ohio scored 90 or more for the first time this season in Ohio's 93-84 win over Central Michigan. Both Erica Johnson and Cece Hooks had 26 points in the win.
ANOTHER MAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cece Hooks was named MAC Player of the Week for this second time this season on Jan. 12. Hooks filled up the stat sheet in both of Ohio's wins last week. She started the week with 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting and 8-of-12 from the free-throw line in OU's 72-63 win at Miami while adding five rebounds, five steals, two blocks and two assists. In the Bobcats' 85-66 win over Toledo, Hooks had 24 points, six steals five rebounds, four blocks and three assists. For the week, Hooks averaged 25.5 points, five rebounds, 5.5 steals, three blocks and 2.5 assists over the two games.
BATTLE OF THE BRICKS WIN
Ohio got back in the win column against Miami on the road, 72-63. Hooks had 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting, while Gabby Burris poured in 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Ohio shot 50.0% for the first time since taking down Toledo last season.
FIVE IN DOUBLE FIGURES
Ohio had five players with double-digit points and one player with nine points in Ohio's 77-67 win at Northern Illinois. Cece Hooks led the way with 26 points, while Erica Johnson, Gabby Burris, Peyton Guice and Madi Mace all had 10 or more points.
Both Guice and Mace had 10 points in the win, both career highs.
HOOKS NAMED MAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cece Hooks was named MAC Player of the Week her performance over No. 22 Notre Dame. Hooks registered 32 points in Ohio's win over No. 22 Notre Dame on Friday (Nov. 27). Hooks went 10-of-23 from the floor and 10-of-14 from the free-throw line, while knocking down two threes. Hooks added eight rebounds and two assists in the win. In the Bobcats' season-opening victory over Liberty, Hooks had 18 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE IN GAME ONE
In Ohio's season-opening win over Liberty, 76-72, Erica Johnson had 31 points and 10 rebounds. Johnson's 31 points mark the fourth time she's scored 30 or more in a single game
PRESEASON ALL-MAC
Senior guard Cece Hooks and junior guard Erica Johnson were named Preseason First-Team All-MAC for the second-straight season. Ohio finished second in the coaches poll with 128 points, behind favorite Central Michigan.
BECKY HAMMON MID-MAJOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR WATCH LIST
Redshirt junior guard Erica Johnson (Mansfield, Ohio) and senior guard Cece Hooks (Dayton, Ohio) have been named to the 2021 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year preseason watch list, Her Hoop Stats announced. Ohio is joined by San Jose State as the only other team with two players on the watchlist. In the Mid-American Conference, Hooks and Johnson are joined by Micaela Kelly of Central Michigan and Dyaisha Fair of Buffalo.
CHERYL MILLER AWARD WATCH LIST
Redshirt junior guard Erica Johnson has been named to the 2021 Cheryl Miller Award watch list, the Basketball Hall of Fame announced The Cheryl Miller Award recognizes the top small forward in NCAA Division I basketball.
NANCY LIEBERMAN AWARD WATCH LIST
Ohio Women's Basketball senior guard Cece Hooks (Dayton, Ohio) has been named to the 2021 Nancy Lieberman Award watch list, the Basketball Hall of Fame announced.
Hooks also appeared on the list last season. Hooks is one of two players in the MAC to appear on the list.
LAST YEAR'S HONORS
For the second-straight year, Cece Hooks was named MAC Defensive of the Year. Hooks was also named to the All-MAC First team and MAC All-Defensive team.
Joining Hooks was Erica Johnson on the All-MAC first team. Johnson was MAC Freshman of the Year, Sixth Player of the Year and All-MAC third team two years ago. Johnson averaged 21.4 points per game in conference play last season.
1,000 POINT SCORERS
Three Bobcats - Gabby Burris, Erica Johnson and Cece Hooks - are all 1,000 point scorers for Ohio.
Burris averaged 9.9 points per game last season.
Johnson scored her 1,000th point in Ohio's win over Western Michigan in the MAC Tournament.
Hooks averaged 18.2 last season.

ADDING TWO IN DECEMBER
Ohio added three players on signing day - Kendall Hale, Kate Dennis and Yaya Felder - and Hale and Dennis will graduate high school early to join the Bobcats in December.
Dennis comes to Ohio from Guilford High School in Illinois, where she was three-time All NIC-10. Dennis was the NIC-10 Offensive Player of the Year in 2020, and was the fifth freshman to be named all-conference in 2018. Dennis became the program's third-highest scorer ever in just three seasons, and averaged 20.6 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game in her final season at Guilford.
Hale joins the Bobcats from West Clermont High School near Cincinnati. Hale's sister, Jasmine, is currently a member of the Ohio program. As a junior at West Clermont, Hale was all-conference, all-district and honorable mention All-Ohio. Hale was the Under Armour Nationals MVP and a UAA National Champion playing for West Virginia Thunder. In her high school career at West Clermont, Hale averaged 16 points, six rebounds and six assists per game.
