2025: Started in all 56 games for the Bobcats… Hit .264 with 43 hits in 163 at-bats… Knocked nine doubles, one triple and four home runs… Only struck out eight times… Recorded a .963 fielding percentage… Named Academic All-MAC… Earned Academic All-District Honors.
2024: Started all 44 games played in… Hit .323 with 42 hits in 130 at bats… Scored 21 runs, tallied 19 RBI, nine doubles and four home runs… Went 3-for-5 with two runs against Miami (Mar. 22)… Earned placement to 2024 Academic All-District Softball Team… Named Academic All-MAC.
2023: Appeared in every game with 52 starts… Finished with a .295 batting average with 44 hits in 149 at bats… Scored 24 runs, registering 13 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 35 RBI… Went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles against Toledo on April 26...Named MAC All-Tournament Team.  Â
PRIOR TO OHIO: Westler hit .506 in 26 games...She registered a .549 on base percentage and a .964 slugging percentage...She also recorded 35 RBI...During her junior season she helped lead her team to a 21-5 record and were conference runners-up...She also set the school record in doubles in a season and slugging percentage in a season...Last fall with her Ohio Lasers Red travel team, she hit .524 in 23 games and had a .545 on base percentage and an .857 slugging percentage. She also recorded 24 RBI...Academically, Shelby is a four-time Scholar Athlete, four-time Honor/Merit Roll honoree and a two-time National Honor Society member. This year she also serves as the Vice President of the National Honor Society.Â

PERSONAL: Shelby is the daughter of Allison Hempstead and Pete Westler and she has one older brother, Jacob.
