Biography

2018: Played and started in 56 games for the Bobcats at second base this season…Registered a .269 batting average with 36 hits, three doubles, two triples, 33 runs scored, 10 RBI and a .347 on base percentage…Drew 15 walks, stole 10 bases and registered a .956 fielding percentage…Hit .351 during MAC play, recording 20 hits, two doubles, two triples, seven RBI and 16 runs scored…Drew nine walks and stole five bases against MAC opponents…Recorded a .959 fielding percentage…Scored two runs during the MAC Tournament…Hit .400 at the NCAA Knoxville Regional, recording four hits and three runs scored…On April 11 against Kent State, Saxton went 1-for-1 with a double and scored four runs in Ohio's 22-7 victory…On April 28 against Buffalo, Saxton went 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored in Ohio's 8-0 win…On May 5 against Bowling Green, registered her second triple of the MAC season and scored a run in the Bobcats 4-0 victory…Went 2-for-3 with two runs scored against James Madison in Ohio's 7-3 win in the NCAA Regional…Named Second Team All-MAC…Named Academic All-MAC.

2017: Started 60 games for Ohio, earning 27 runs, 53 hits and 10 RBIs on 167 at-bats...registered two doubles, one triple and 16 walks for a .317 batting average and .377 OBP...putout 53 runners...had one five-game hitting streak (March 3-March 9) and two six-game hitting streaks (March 17-March 25)(May 6-May 13)...named academic All-MAC...named Distinguished Scholar Athlete...led the team in stolen bases (19).

2016: Appeared and started all 60 games this season at second base…Lead the team by batting .335 with 191 at bats and 64 hits which is an Ohio single season record...She recorded 63 singles and is now Ohio’s single season record holder for singles…Additionally Saxton had one double, 31 runs and six RBIs with a .340 slugging percentage and a .401 on base percentage…Saxton had two walk off hits this season against Virginia and IUPUI…With 40-48 on stolen bases on the season, she put herself in second for the single season stolen base record right behind Staci Bellville who had 46 (1995)…Saxton now has 54 career stolen bases which puts her sixth in Ohio history…She had 129 putouts, 67 assists and a .975 fielding percentage…Named Academic All-MAC…Named Second Team All-MAC.

Saxton hit .258 in 49 games for the Bobcats...She started 23 games and registered 17 hits in 66 at bats...Was 14-16 in stolen base attempts...Started 14 games in conference play and hit .216...Hit .429 in the MAC Tournament, going 6-for 14 and stealing two bases...Registered 2 RBIs in a game against Bowling Green on Apr. 12...Went 2-for-4 in a game against Buffalo on May 10.
