2018: In the circle, Meeks made 22 appearances, making four starts to record a 301 record with a 4.04 ERA and three saves…In 43.1 innings, she allowed 62 hits, 25 earned runs, walked 18 and struck out 20…During MAC play, Meeks went 2-0 with a 5.07 ERA in seven appearances and two starts…in 19.1 innings she allowed 14 earned runs and struck out six…In the NCAA Knoxville Regional, she made two appearances, allowing two unearned runs on one hit, striking out one…At the plate, Meeks’ first career hit was also her first career homerun against Buffalo on April 28…Picked up her first win at Ohio on Feb. 24 against Delaware State, pitching three innings, allowing two runs on two hits…Picked up the win in Ohio’s 22-7 victory at Kent State on April 11, pitching four innings, allowing seven runs on six hits and striking out two…Picked up her first career save on March 23 against Central Michigan, pitching one inning in the 4-3 victory.
Prior to Ohio: Meeks played one season at Mercy College where she had a .337 batting average, with 29 RBI, 27 runs scored, six doubles and a .402 on base percentage. She also led the team with 10 home runs on the season. In the circle, Meeks registered a 3-2 record with a 4.45 ERA in 13 appearances.Meeks was also an All-ECAC Honorable Mention and First Team All-ECC. She was a four-time ECAC Rookie of the Week and a three-time ECC Rookie of the Week, while helping lead the team to the 2017 ECC Conference Championships and a trip to NCAA Regionals.
High School: Meeks helped lead Alexander High School to a league and sectional championships for three-straight years (2014, 15, 16). In 2016, she helped lead Alexander to a district championship and they finished the season as regional runners up. She was a First Team All-State selection in 2016 and was also named Second Team All-State in 2015 and Honorable Mention All-State in 2014. She was an All-League recipient in all four years. As a team captain, Meeks was an offensive and defensive league player in 2015, defensive player of the year 2016. She also holds the Ohio state record in career home runs.
