Ohio Men's Basketball Set to take on No. 12 Louisville Saturday Afternoon

ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio men's basketball team (1-2) is back on the road on Saturday, Nov. 15 when the Bobcats head to Louisville, Ky. to take on 12th-ranked Louisville (3-0). Tip-off is set for Noon ET inside the KFC Yum! Center and can be seen on The CW, where Rick Allen and Mike Gminski will have the call.

The Bobcats' matchup can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield, presented by Holzer Health System. Jason Toy begins his second season on the mic for the Bobcats and will be joined by veteran Dave Cecutti. WXTQ (Power 105) in Athens returns as the 11-station net- work's flagship and can be heard on the Varsity Network App.

OPENING TIP
- This is the 14th all-time meeting between Ohio and Louisville, with the Cardinals leading the series, 10-3.
- The Bobcats and Louisville last met on Nov. 25, 2011 in Louisville, with Ohio falling to the then-seventh ranked Cardinals, 59-54.

- Redshirt Junior forward Javan Simmons was clutch against Illinois State, scoring 16 points and grabbing four rebounds in the victory.
- Senior guard Dior Conners earned his first start in the Green and White against Illinois State on Nov. 6, scoring five points, while making one three and dishing out a career-high three assists. 
- Senior forward Aidan Hadaway opened the season with a career night against Arkansas State, dropping a career-high 28 points.

SCOUTING #12 LOUISVILLE
#12 Louisville is currently 3-0 overall after defeating No. 9 Kentucky, 96-88 on Tuesday at home. 

Overall, Louisville averages 102.0 points per game, while shooting 50 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from three and 73.7 percent from the line. Meanwhile, opponents are averaging 67.7 points per game, while shooting 37.2 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from three and 70.4 percent from the line. 

The Cardinals are averaging 45.3 rebounds, 22.3 assists, 11.3 steals and 2.7 blocks a game, while forcing opponents to turn the ball over an average of 17 times a game, scoring 23.3 points off them. Louisville opponents are averaging 34.7 rebounds, 9.7 assists, 5.3 steals and 4.0 blocks a game, while forcing 11 turnovers a contest, scoring 9.7 points off them. 

Currently, Mikel Brown, Jr. is averaging 19.3 points a game, while shooting 51.5 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from three and 94.7 percent from the line. Ohio is also forcing opponents to turn the ball over 10.7 times a game, scoring on average 13.7 points off them. 

Meanwhile, Ohio opponents are averaging 82.3 points a game, while shooting 47.2 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from three and 78.7 percent form the line. Opponents are averaging 39.0 rebounds, 15.3 assists and 5.3 steals a game, while forcing Ohio to turn the ball over an average of 10.7 times a game, while scoring on average eight points off them. 

Individually, Ohio is led by senior guard Jackson Paveletzke with 18.0 points and 4.0 assists a game, while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three, while adding 1.3 steals a game. Senior forward Aidan Hadaway adds 15.3 points and 5.7 rebounds a game, while shooting 56.8 percent from the field, 23.1 percent from three and 50 percent from the line, while redshirt junior forward Javan Simmons adds 14.0 points and 3.3 rebounds a game, while shooting 39.4 percent form the field. Senior guard Ajay Sheldon is averaging 3.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds a game.

Senior point guard Jackson Paveletzke has picked up where he left off last season when being the main ball handler. 

So far this season, Paveletzke is averaging 18.0 points a game, while shooting 50 percent from the field and 72.2 percent from the line, while adding 4.0 assists per game. 

After scoring 16 points in the home opener on Nov. 3, Paveletzke was the leader once again on Nov. 6 in Ohio's win against Illinois State. Paveletzke scored a game-high 19 points and dished out six assists in the win. Paveletzke went 7-of-12 from the field and 5-of-8 from the line as well. 

Paveletzke added another 19-point performance on Nov. 11 at Saint Mary's, going 7-of-13 from the field, 3-of-3 from three and 2-of-3 from the line, while grabbing three rebounds and dishing out four assists.
