MAC Announces 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Conference Schedule

CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference has released the 2026-27 men's basketball conference schedule, the league announced today (Aug. 12). This season, Ohio men's basketball will play a 22-game round robin league schedule, with 11 home games and 11 road game, while playing each opponent twice.
The MAC season begins on Wednesday, Dec. 2 when the Bobcats host Toledo in Athens. Ohio heads to Mount Pleasant, Mich. on Saturday Dec. 5 to take on Central Michigan. After a stop at Ball State on Wednesday, Dec. 16, Ohio will host Buffalo at home on Saturday, Dec. 19 inside the Convocation Center.
Ohio opens 2027 on the road when they head to Bowling Green, Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 2 to take on Bowling Green. The Bobcats return to Athens for back-to-back games in the Convo starting on Tuesday, Jan. 5 when Ohio hosts Akron, followed by a matchup with UMass on Saturday, Jan. 9.
Ohio is back on the road on Tuesday, Jan. 12 when they head to Kent, Ohio to take on Kent State, before returning to Athens on Saturday, Jan. 16 to host Eastern Michigan. Ohio stays in the Convo on Tuesday, Jan. 19 when they take on Western Michigan.
The Bobcats head to Amherst, Mass. on Saturday, Jan. 23 for their second matchup with UMass, before taking on Akron on the road on Tuesday, Jan. 26.
After the road trip, the Bobcats are back in Athens to host Miami on Saturday, Jan. 30 inside the Convo, before taking a trip to Buffalo on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
After the Bobcats take on their Sun Belt opponent on Saturday, Feb. 6 in Athens, Ohio heads to Kalamazoo, Mich. on Tuesday, Feb. 9 to take on Western Michigan. A trip home on Saturday, Feb. 13 has the Bobcats hosting Central Michigan inside the Convocation Center, before heading to Ypsilanti, Mich. on Tuesday, Feb. 16 to take on Eastern Michigan.
Ohio returns to Athens for back-to-back home games starting on Saturday, Feb. 20 when they host Ball State, before concluding the homestand on Tuesday, Feb. 23 against Kent State.
The Bobcats head to Oxford, Ohio on Saturday, Feb. 27 to take on Miami, before concluding the home slate on Tuesday, March 2 against Bowling Green. The regular season concludes on Friday, March 5 when the Bobcats head to Toledo to close out MAC play against the Rockets.
The 2027 Mid-American Conference Tournament will take place in Cleveland on March 10-13 inside Rocket Arena.
