Ohio Men's Golf Prepared For MAC Championships

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Ohio men's golf team is ready to compete in the 2022 Mid-American Conference Championships, played this weekend (April 29-May 1) at White Eagle Golf Club, hosted by Northern Illinois. 18 holes will be played each day, with the first two rounds teeing off at noon on Friday and Saturday, and the final round teeing off at 9 a.m. Sunday morning.

Ohio will be joined in the field by Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Miami, Northern Illinois, and Toledo.
The Bobcats will be looking to build off of their best finish in the 2022 spring season, after they finished in a tie for 4th place at the Wright State Invitational Four Bobcats finished in the top-25 of the tournament, with Zach Mandry leading the way for Ohio, finishing in a tie for 5th place at +4. Freshman Sam Hogan finished in a tie for 13th with a +13 effort.

The Bobcats are taking aim at winning their first MAC title since 1980, and will be looking to improve on their 7th place finish in 2021. Ohio won the league tournament in 1951, '52, '53, '54 (tie), '55, '57, '58, '59, '60, '61, '63, '64, '65, '67, '69, '71 and '79.
