
Men's Golf Concludes Play At MAC Championships

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Ohio men's golf team finished play at the 2022 MAC Championships, hosted by Northern Illinois at White Eagle Country Club, on Sunday (May 1). The Bobcats finished in 8th place as a team, posting a 919 cumulative team score to end the weekend at +55. Kent State secured the overall title, with a cumulative team score of 881 (+17)
Tanner Johnson shot an even-par 72 in the final round, to hold on to the top individual Bobcat designation, finishing in a tie for 15th place at +10. Freshman Sam Hogan turned in the best scorecard of the final round however, shooting a one-under 71 to vault himself into a tie for 19th place by the end of the tournament at +11.
Zach Mandry secured the third top-25 individual finish for the Bobcats, after his even-par 72 moved the graduate student in a tie for 23rd at +12 total.
Austin Dyson and Zach Crawford both impvoed on their individual positions as well on Sunday, moving into a tie for 35th (+22 overall) and a solo-37th position (+27 overall) respectively. Dyson and Crawford shot their best rounds of the tournament on Sunday, as both carded a 76 (+4) .
