2021-22 Ohio Men's Basketball Schedule
CLEVELAND – The Ohio men's basketball program's 20-game 2021-22 Mid-American Conference schedule was announced today (Aug. 27) by the league office.
The Bobcats will play 10 league home games at the Convocation Center and 10 conference games away from Athens. With the elimination of divisions, the Bobcats will play everyone twice, except for Buffalo and Ball State.
The reigning MAC Tournament Champions begin conference play in the Convocation Center on Tuesday, Dec. 28 against Eastern Michigan. Ohio beings the New Year in Kalamazoo, Mich., taking on Western Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 1. After a trip to Akron (Jan. 4), the Bobcats return to the Convo for back-to-back matchups against Kent State (Jan. 8) and Bowling Green (Jan. 11).
The following week, Ohio heads to Central Michigan (Jan. 15) and then Oxford, Ohio for the first 'Battle of the Bricks' matchup with Miami (Jan. 18). After home dates with Toledo (Jan. 22) and Northern Illinois (Jan. 25), the Bobcats wrap up January at Buffalo on Saturday, Jan. 29 in their only regular season matchup with the Bulls.
Ohio begins February in Athens, hosting Ball State (Feb. 1) and Western Michigan (Feb. 5). After two-straight road games the following week at Toledo (Feb. 8) and at Eastern Michigan (Feb. 12), the Bobcats return to Athens for another matchup with the Redhawks on Tuesday, Feb. 15.
After a trip to Kent State on Saturday, Feb. 19, the Bobcats conclude their home schedule on Feb. 22 against Central Michigan and on Feb. 26 against Akron.
The Bobcats wrap up the 2021-22 regular season with two-straight on the road, the first at Bowling Green on March 1, before wrapping up the season on March 4 at NIU.
At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams in the conference moving on to Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse for the MAC Men's Basketball Tournament on March 10-12. MAC Men's Quarterfinal games will be available on ESPN3 or ESPN+, while Semifinal action will air on CBS Sports Network. The Men's Basketball Championship game will be televised live on Saturday, March 12th on ESPN2 (Time TBD).
