2016-17: Made her freshman debut at the Dayton Flyer 5K by finishing in the top 35 with a time of 20:21.3… Recorded her season-best 6K time at the ISU Adidas Pre-Nationals clocking in at 23:37.8 place in the top 55… Placed in the top 90 at the MAC Championships 6K with a time of 24:04.6 and moved onto compete at the NCAA Division I Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championships where she finished with a time of 23:44.4.
Prior to Ohio: Attended Jonathan Adler High School in Plain City, OH.
Personal: Daughter of Rodney and Lisa Geitgey...Has one sister, Mackenley...Uncle, Jim Geitgey, was on the Ohio State Fencing team...Lists the Columbus Blue Jackets as her favorite team...Hobbies include writing, playing piano, running, and playing with her dog...Plans to major in Biological Sciences and earn an MD/Ph.D. and work in a program for cancer research and clinical oncology.
