JT Heenan joined the Ohio baseball staff as an Assistant Coach in September 2024.
Heenan joined the Bobcats after working for the Texas Rangers Organization as a player development coach. Prior to that, he served as the head coach of the Salem University baseball team from 2020-23. During the 2023 season, Salem achieved a single season record of 31 wins and won the NSAC Conference Championship title under Heenan. Heenan also served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Salem in 2020. From 2018-19, Heenan worked as a director of scouting for Prep Baseball Report West Virginia.
Heenan played baseball at West Virginia University. After the conclusion of his collegiate career, Heenan served as the director of operations, student assistant coach and camp coordinator for Mountaineers from 2016-17.
Heenan earned his bachelor's and master's degree in Elementary and Special Education from West Virginia University.
