INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Ohio volleyball team (4-2, 0-0 MAC) fell 3-0 (22-25, 14-25, 10-25) at Butler (5-1, 0-0 Big East) on Saturday, Sept. 5.

Ohio finished with 24 kills, five aces, one block, 24 assists and 37 digs. Butler finished with 28 kills, eight aces, 10 blocks, 24 assists and 36 digs.

Senior Torre Kildow (Bethesda, Ohio) and sophomore Bailey Blair (Louisville, Ky.) combined for 11 kills. Senior Gentry Brown (Shadyside, Ohio) recorded a team-high four aces and nine digs. Freshman Rowan Kelly (Akron, Ohio) tallied a team-high 11 assists and Ohio's lone block of the day.

It was a close first set with the two teams being tied several times throughout. Although Ohio struggled to take more than a one-point lead, the Bobcats stayed on the heels of the Bulldogs. Ohio led Butler, 18-17, before the Bulldogs scored three-straight points to retake a 20-18 lead. Ohio came within one again, only trailing Butler 23-22. Despite Ohio's efforts, Butler went on to win the first set 25-22 and take a 1-0 lead.

Butler dominated most of the second and third set, winning 25-14 and 25-10. The Bulldogs went on to defeat the Bobcats, 3-0.

The Bobcats will be back in action at Penn State on Saturday, Sept. 12. First serve is set for 7 p.m. ET.
