
Ohio Women’s Golf Places Sixth at 2026 Rocket Classic

Sylvania, Ohio – The Ohio Women's Golf Team traveled to Sylvania, Ohio, to compete in the 2026 Rocket Classic, hosted by the University of Toledo, on Sept. 14-15 at the Highland Meadows Golf Club. The Bobcats' lineup consisted of senior Zoe Luebbers (Cincinnati, Ohio), senior Morgan Rodgers (Centerville, Ohio), junior Ally Turner (Miamisburg, Ohio), sophomore Paige Treherne (Cincinnati, Ohio), and sophomore Katie Husted (Columbus, Ohio). Junior Saylor Wharff (Marietta, Ohio), and freshman Charlotte Soller competed individually for the Bobcats.
Central Michigan (+51) took home the first-place finish at the invitational, followed by Oakland (+58) and Akron (+68) finished third. Chattanooga (+79) and Toledo (+81) finished fourth and fifth respectively and Marshall rounded out the field in seventh.
As a team, Ohio opened up day one, shooting a 317 (+33), finishing the round in third. In the second round, Ohio shot a 317 (+33) again, finishing the day in sixth. The Bobcats finished the third round shooting a 312 (+28), finishing the invitational in sixth place.
Luebbers was the highest finisher for the Bobcats, placing fifth overall. In the first round, Luebbers opened the round shooting an 80 (+9), which placed her in 24th place. In the second round, Luebbers shot a 74 (+3), which helped her finish the day in 10th overall. On day two of the invitational, Luebbers shot a 72 (+1), which propelled her into fifth place. Overall, Luebbers finished the invitational with a score of 226 (+13)
Husted finished the invitational tied for 21st place, shooting a round one score of 72 (+1), a second-round score of 81 (+10), and a third-round score of 81 (+10), and finished the invitational with an overall score of 234 (+21).
Individually, Wharff recorded a round one score of 78 (+7), finishing the round in 17th place. During the second round, Wharff shot a 79 (+8) and finished day one in 29th place. In the third round, Wharff shot an 84 (+13) and finished the invitational with an overall score of 241 (+28) tied for 31th place.
Turner also finished the invitational tied for 31th place with an overall score of 241 (+28). Turner shot a round one score of 82 (+11), a round two score of 80 (+9), and a third-round score of 79 (+8).
While competing as an individual, Soller finished in 38th place with an overall score of 246 (+33). During the invitational, Soller shot a round one score of 80 (+9), a round two score of 84 (+13), and finished with a round three score of 82 (+11).
Treherne shot a round one score of 83 (+12), a round two score of 82 (+11), and a round three score of 82 (+11). Turner finished in 39th place with an overall score of 247 (+34).
Rodgers finished the invitational in 40th place, shooting a round one score of 85 (+14), a second-round score of 83 (+12), and a third-round score of 80 (+9), and finished the invitational with an overall score of 248 (+35).
The Bobcats return to the course on Sept. 20-21 in East Lansing, Michigan at the 2026 Mary Fossum Invitational, hosted by Michigan State, at the Forest Akers West Golf Course.
