MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Ohio women's track & field team earned four podium finishes including a bronze medal on the final day of the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. The team finished ninth overall with 33 points.
Freshman
Alyvia Mentlow earned a bronze medal in the women's 200m finals. In her first championships, Mentlow recorded a personal-best time of 24.64.
Sophomore
Jaclyn Garvey (Grand Blanc, Mich.) earned Ohio's first podium finish of the day. Garvey placed sixth overall in the women's 800m with a PR of 2:12.89.
Graduate student
Kelsi Harris led Ohio in the women's 3,000 meters, placing sixth overall with a time of 9:32.13. Senior
Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio) finished just outside the top 10 in 11
th place with a season-best time of 9:43.23.
The final event of the day was the women's 4x400m relay. Junior
Jada Irwin (Fairfield, Ohio), sophomore
Ava Kincaid (Perrysburg, Ohio), senior
Ashley Long (Hilliard, Ohio) and freshman
Sydney Huckstep placed seventh overall (3:50.24) and earned a spot on the podium.
Two Bobcats also competed in the finals of the women's mile. Junior
Ellie Greenwell (Park Hills, Ky.) placed ninth (4:55.73) and sophomore
Kaitlyn Stewart (4:55.77) placed 10
th overall.
