MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ohio Women's Golf team completed the second round of the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championships this afternoon (Apr. 21). The Bobcats moved down to a tie for fifth from third place. The team was led by an impressive performance from junior Mackenzie McRee (Tuscon, Arizona) who shot a 78 (+7).
Overall, the Bobcats had a score of 613 (+37) as they tied with Central Michigan in 5th, while Kent State continues to lead with 9-over par.
McRee led the Bobcats in the second round, shooting a 78 (+7) with one birdie and a consistent run of five whole at par. She will enter tomorrow's final round as Ohio's final golfer of the Bobcats' five tee-times.
Sophomore Morgan Rodgers (Centerville, Ohio) is in 17th place after the second day. Rodgers had an 80 (+8) on the day with two birdies. Rodgers will be the fourth golfer in the lineup for the Bobcats.
Coming in T-23rd on the first day, sophomore Zoe Luebbers Cincinnati, Ohio) had an 78 (+6) in her second round of the tournament. Luebbers has improved to a tie for 21st after the first two days.
In fourth place for Ohio, senior Sydney Longstreth (Carmel, Indiana) finds herself in a tie for 41st. Longstreth shot an 83 (+11). The senior will play her final round for the Bobcats tomorrow to close out the tournament.
Rounding out the performers for the second day of the tournament, sophomore Anna Coccia (New Albany, Ohio) who was a substitute on the first day, finished the second round with a 76 (+4).
Ohio will look to continue to climb the leader board tomorrow (Apr. 22) in the final round of the 2025 MAC Women's Golf Championships. The Bobcats will begin their round starting at 9:00 a.m.
