GROVE CITY, Ohio – Members of the Ohio Women's Golf team traveled to Grove City, Ohio, on April 6-7, to compete in the ODU NC4K Classic, hosted by Ohio Dominican University at the Pinnacle Golf Club. Senior
Alaina Nugent (Fortville, Ind.), sophomore
Saylor Wharff (Marietta, Ohio), and freshman
Katie Husted (Columbus, Ohio) all competed individually for the Bobcats, with Wharff finishing the highest for Ohio, tied for 10
th place.
Wharff finished tied for 10
th after two rounds of play, with an overall score of 159 (+15). On day one of the competition, Wharff shot an 80 (+8) and ended the day tied seventh. In round two of the Classic, Wharff shot a 79 (+7) and concluded tied for 10
th.
Nugent shot an 82(+10) in round one of play, finishing the day tied for 17
th place. During the second round of play, Nugent shot an 81 (+9) and ended the Classic tied for 17
th place with an overall score of 163 (+19).
Husted finished the classic tied for 40
th, with a score of 171 (+). During round one, Husted shot an 85 (+13) and ended the day tied for 37
th place. On day two of the Classic, Husted shot an 86 (+14) overall and finished tied for 40
th.
Up next, Ohio will compete at the 2026 Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational, hosted by Ohio State at the OSU Scarlet Course April 17-18.
