SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Ohio baseball team (0-2) lost both games (11-1, 9-8) in its doubleheader at Wofford (2-0) on Friday, Feb. 14.
GAME 1: Wofford 11, Ohio 1
Overall, Ohio finished with one run, one hit and three errors. Wofford finished with 11 runs, nine hits and one error.
Sophomore
Pauly Mancino led Ohio (Westlake, Ohio), scoring its lone run. Mancino finished 1-for-4 at the plate, recording a double. Freshman

Nick Dolan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tallied one hit each.
Three Bobcats appeared on the mound against Wofford. Seniors
Blake Gaskey (Davenport, Iowa) and
Adam Beery (Ravenna, Ohio) recorded one strikeout each. Sophomore
Trey Barkman (Kidron, Ohio) tallied two strikeouts.
Ohio struggled from the start of the first inning, going down 3-0 early to Wofford. The Terriers maintained that momentum throughout the entire game. The Bobcats' lone run came from Mancino in the fourth inning. Mancino hit a double and advanced to third off Cassidy's single. Mancino capitalized on a wild pitch by Wofford and scored his first run of the season.
GAME 2: Wofford 9, Ohio 8
Cassidy was a top performer for Ohio in its second game at Wofford. Cassidy recorded two runs, four hits including one triple and four RBI's. Senior
Jackson Cauthron (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) tallied a team-high three runs in addition to three hits. Graduate student
Trenton Neuer (Nicholasville, Ky.) finished with three hits, two RBI's and one run.
Senior
Dillon Masters (New Albany, Ohio) started for Ohio on the mound. In four innings pitched, Masters recorded five strikeouts and only allowed three hits on 14 at bats. Redshirt junior

Jack Geiser (Medina, Ohio) also appeared on the mound for Ohio.
The Bobcats kicked off the game with a strong start, recording four runs in the first inning. Ohio maintained a 6-0 lead over Wofford until the sixth inning. In the bottom of the sixth, the Terriers cut Ohio's lead to 6-4.
Ohio held a three-run lead over Wofford for almost the rest of the game until the bottom of the ninth. Wofford achieved a five-run comeback in the bottom of the ninth, ultimately taking the game from Ohio in a 9-8 decision.
