ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio football wraps up the 2025 regular season on Friday, while men's basketball in in Florida for the Sunshine Slam and women's basketball takes on Wright State in Athens. FOOTBALL

The Ohio football team (7-4, 5-2 MAC) concludes the 2025 season on Friday, Nov. 28 when they head to Buffalo, N.Y. to take on Buffalo (5-6, 403 MAC). Kickoff is set for Noon ET inside UB Stadium and can be seen on ESPNU.
The Bobcats' matchup can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield, presented by Holzer Health System. Veteran Ohio radio personality Marty Bannister is reprising his role as Ohio's play-by-play broadcaster. Bannister will be joined by color analyst Rob Cornelius, who has been a part of the broadcasts for more than two decades.
he Bobcats and the Bulls have met 30 times since 1949, boasting a 19-11 overall record. Ohio hosted Buffalo for the last Saturday game of the regular season, celebrating the seniors as well as NFF College Football Hall of Fame honoree Frank Solich with a dominant 47-16 victory.
Ohio is coming off a 42-14 win over UMass on Nov. 18, capping off an undefeated home record once again. The Ohio offense was led by redshirt senior running back Sieh Bangura, who had a career high of 196 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Bangura's career night included surpassing 1,000 rush yards on the season for the second time in his career, being the fifth Bobcat in program history to reach that mark. The senior running back also passed 3,000 career rushing yards, also becoming the fifth Ohio player to record such a stat.
On defense, the Bobcats were led by redshirt junior linebacker Jack Fries, who recorded his first career interception while totaling 10 tackles, one for a loss. Graduate student defensive back Tank Pearson also recorded an interception in the contest. Other highlights on the defensive end included solo sacks by redshirt junior defensive end Anas Luqman and junior defensive end Derek Reagans. Redshirt junior defensive tackle Pius Odjugo also recovered a fumble in the game.
The Bulls are coming off a 37-20 loss to Miami on Nov. 20 in Buffalo.
Victor Snow had a career-high nine receptions for 111 yards and a score. Nik McMillan had eight catches for a career-high 147 yards. It was McMillan's fifth-straight 100-yard receiving game, becoming the first Bull since Naaman Roosevelt in 2008 to accomplish the feat. Ta'Quan Roberson finished with 303 passing yards, his third 300-yard game this season.

The Ohio men's basketball team (1-4) heads to Daytona Beach, Fla. for the 2025 Sunshine Slam Nov. 24-25. The Bobcats will take on George Mason (5-0) on Monday, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. ET inside the Ocean Center and can be seen on CBS Sports Network where Jake Marsh and Sean Kearney will have the call. Ohio will be back in action on Tuesday, Nov. 25 for the second game of the Sunshine Slam, where they will take on either Florida Atlantic (4-1) or Loyola Marymount (6-0) at 5:30 p.m. ET or 7 p.m. ET on CBSSN.

Ohio is 1-4 overall after falling to Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday in Athens. Ohio is averaging 74.2 points a game, while shooting 44.9 percent from the field, 25.7 percent from three and 68.2 percent from the line. The Bobcats also add 32.2 rebounds a game, while dishing out 11.6 assists and recording 4.4 steals a contest. Ohio is also forcing opponents to turn the ball over 11.4 times a game, scoring on average 14.2 points off them. Individually, Ohio is led by senior guard Jackson Paveletzke with 22.0 points and 4.2 assists a game, while shooting 55.2 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from three, while adding 1.2 steals a game.
George Mason is 5-0 to start the season after defeating Jacksonville Tuesday night in Fairfax. George Mason has also defeated New Hampshire, Catawba, Winthrop, Wofford and Alfred. Overall, George Mason averages 78.4 points per game, while shooting 48.4 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from three and 74.7 percent from the line. Meanwhile, opponents are averaging 59.8 points per game, while shooting 37.1 percent from the field, 27.3 percent from three and 77.9 percent from the line. Currently, Kory Mincy leads George Mason with 17/6 points a game, while shooting 56.3 percent from the field, 56.5 percent from three and 95.5 percent from the line, while adding 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
FAU is currently 4-1 overall after defeating Pacific Thursday night in Boca Raton, Fla. FAU also has wins over Coastal Georgia, Charleston and Boston College with a loss to Liberty. They will take on Loyola Marymount Monday night following Ohio and George Mason. Overall, FAU averages 83.8 points per game, while shooting 46.4 percent from the field, 35.9 percent from three and 71.3 percent from the line. Meanwhile, opponents are averaging 73.0 points per game, while shooting 43.1 percent from the field, 39.3 percent from three and 70.3 percent from the line. Currently, Devin Vanterpool leads FAU with 16.2 points a game, while shooting 51.6 percent from the field, 23.8 percent from three and 80.0 percent from the line, while adding 6.4 boards a game.
LMU is currently 6-0 with wins over Eastern Washington, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, UTEP, Troy and Santa Barbra and will take on FAU on Monday evening. Overall, LMU averages 87.3 points per game, while shooting 52.6 percent from the field, 41.7 percent from three and 63.6 percent from the line. Meanwhile, opponents are averaging 63.8 points per game, while shooting 37.7 percent from the field, 28.5 percent from three and 76.0 percent from the line. Currently, MJ Amey, Jr. is averaging 17.5 points a game, while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, 42.6 percent from three and 62.5 percent from the line.

The Ohio women's basketball team (2-2) is back in action this week for two games. THe week starts off for them on Monday, Nov. 24 when they host Wright State (4-2). Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+. The week concludes on Sunday, Nov. 30 when Ohio heads to Davidson, N.C. to take on Davidson (4-3). Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. ET inside John M. Belk Arena and can be seen on ESPN+.
Ohio is coming off a loss at Xavier last week. 35.3 rebounds, 12.5 assists, 12.5 steals and 2.8 blocks per game. The Bobcats have forced 23.5 turnovers per game and average 22.5 points off turnovers.Ohio's opponents average 73.0 PPG; shooting 43.4 percent from the field, 31.2 percent from the arc and 72.1 percent from the line. Opponents average 40.3 rebounds, 18.3 assists, 7.3 steals and 4.0 blocks per game. Opponents have forced Ohio to give up 18.0 turnovers per game and average 19.3 points off turnovers.
Wright State has a 4-2 overall record heading into its matchup at Ohio. The Raiders average 82.2 PPG; shooting 43.7 percent from the field, 35.1 percent from the arc and 73.5 percent from the line. Davidson is currently 4-3 overall with wins over App State and Florida Gulf Coast and are coming off a trip to the WBCA Showcase in Kissimmee, Fla. where they dropped matchups to Miami and #7 Baylor. The Wildcats average 70.1 points a game and shoot 44.0 percent from the field, 33.8 percent from three and 71.3 percent from the line, while adding 32.4 rebounds and 12.9 assists per game.
