Ohio Athletics Announces Kermit Blosser Hall of Fame Class of 2026

ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio Athletics has announced the Kermit Blosser Ohio Athletics Hall of Fame class of 2026 on Monday, Aug. 31. This year's class includes Torrie Albini (FH, 2004-07), Don Caldwell (FB, 1970-73), Douglas Grebe (S&D, 1996-99), Germane Lindsey (WR, 2007-11) and Joshua Sorge (BSB, 1992-96).

Douglas Grebe '99 – Swimming & Diving (1995-99):
Douglas Grebe was a notable member and leader of the men's swim and dive team from 1995-99. Grebe was a successful student-athlete and remains one of the program's top performers as he still owns three team records including the 400 IM, 1000 and 1650 freestyle. Throughout his career, Grebe earned three First Team All-MAC honors (1996, 1997, 1998) and was named to the 1999 Second Team All-MAC. The team captain was also a 1999 recipient of the MAC Presidential Award. Grebe's success continued in the classroom; he is a three-time Academic All-American (1996, 1997, 1998) and Academic All-MAC honoree (1997, 1998, 1999).

Germane Lindsey '11 – Wrestling (2007-11):
Germane Lindsay was a standout performer for the wrestling team from 2007-11. The four-year letterman was a three-time captain. Lindsay led Ohio in wins as freshman (19) in 2008 and as a junior (30) in 2010. Lindsay was named a NCAA All-American in 2010 after earning a sixth-place finish in the 141 weight class at the NCAA Championships. He also earned a career-best finish of third place at the Mid-American Conference Championships. Lindsay was voted as the team's Most Valuable Wrestler in 2008 and the team's Hardest Worker in 2008 and 2009. Upon graduation, Lindsay joined the wrestling program as an assistant coach.

Torrie Albini '08 – Field Hockey (2004-07):
Torrie Albini was a notable member of the field hockey program from 2004-07, helping the Bobcats to two Mid-American Conference Championship titles in 2006 and 2007. Albini was a two-time First Team All-MAC honoree (2005, 2006) and earned Second Team All-MAC honors in 2007. In addition to the conference honors, Albini was a two-time Second Team Regional All-American. She currently ranks second in program history for career goals and points. Albini also ranks in the top three for single-season goals, assists and points. Albini joined the U.S. National Team in 2011 after spending a year on the Development squad. Albini competed in several events with the national team from 2011-13.

Joshua Sorge '96 – Baseball (1992-96):
Josh Sorge, a member of the baseball team from 1992-96, went from a first-year walk-on to an All-American. In his final year with the Bobcats, Sorge was unanimously chosen by the players to be the team captain. That same season, he earned First Team All-MAC honors and was selected as a 1996 Third Team All-American. In 1996, Sorge finished with a .383 batting average, .611 slugging percentage and .957 as a first basemen. Following graduation, Sorge joined the coaching staff for the 1996 and 1999 seasons. He was later inducted into the Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame.

Don Caldwell '73 – Football (1970-73)
Don Caldwell was a dual-sport athlete at Ohio, playing four years with the football team and competing for two years with the track & field team. As an offensive tackle for the Bobcats, Caldwell was a two-time First Team All-MAC honoree (1972, 1973) and earned Second Team All-MAC honors as a sophomore. As a freshman track & field athlete, Caldwell took home second place in the shot put at the MAC Championships. The following season, Caldwell earned a fourth-place finish in the same event at the conference meet.
